Rachel Krause, The Pollinator Effect
Langham Community GalleryÂ
Rachel Krause, BFA (Hons), is an emerging artist and art therapy student based in Nelson, BC, on the unceded territories of the Sinixt and Ktunaxa Peoples. A graduate of the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute in 2025, she is pursuing a career as an art therapist, integrating her passion for creativity and healing into community and clinical settings. Born in Calgary, Alberta, and raised in Fernie, BC, Rachel’s upbringing in nature strongly influences her artistic practice. Her work combines photography, painting, and eco-art to explore the intersection of the natural world and personal identity. Over the years, she has focused on pollinators like honeybees and bumblebees, depicting their vital connection to the landscapes they nurture. This fascination with ecosystems inspires her ongoing artistic exploration and informs her future work in art therapy, where she hopes to use creative processes to foster healing and a deeper connection to the environment.Â
