The Langham Japanese Canadian Museum is dedicated to remembering the more than 22,000 Japanese Canadians who were removed from their homes and interned by the Canadian Government during World War 2. In the 1940s, Kaslo housed almost 11oo Canadians of Japanese descent during the internment era including in The Langham building that we are the stewards of today. Our exhibits contain the stories of the people who lived during this time and include period artifacts, archival photographs, audio recordings, interpretive displays, and our new Ten-Chi-Jin Japanese Garden.
Self-Guided access to the museum is available year round 7 days a week from 9 am – 6 pm.
Admission is by donation.
