Join us this summer in Kaslo for an immersive Art & Nature day camp for children ages 6-11. Blending hands-on nature exploration with drawing, painting, storytelling, journaling, and crafts inspired by the local landscape, this camp invites children to learn through curiosity, collaboration, and creative expression.
Each session runs four days a week from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, over two consecutive weeks, offering a rich and consistent learning experience in both outdoor and art studio settings.
Session Dates:
- Session 1: July 6–9 & July 13–16
- Session 2: July 20–23 & July 27–30
- Session 3: August 4–7 & August 10–13
- Session 4: August 17–20 & August 24–27
Cost: $300 per week (all sessions are two weeks)

Session 2:
July 20–23: Kootenay Wilderness Creators
Discover the wonders of British Columbia through art, science, and outdoor exploration.
Young creators will spend the week exploring the natural world that makes British Columbia unique. Through hands-on art projects, simple science experiments, outdoor adventures, and creative journaling, campers will learn about provincial symbols, local wildlife, native plants, and the beautiful environment that surrounds Kaslo.
Throughout the week, children will create their own nature journals, decorate and grow plants, design wearable art, conduct fun science experiments, and explore local outdoor spaces including the river trail, Kaslo Bay, and Vimy Park. Each day combines creativity, discovery, and play while encouraging curiosity about the natural world.
Camp Activities May Include:
- Creating a personalized art, science, and nature journal
- Learning about British Columbia’s official symbols and wildlife
- Nature observation walks and outdoor exploration
- Decorating plant pots and planting blue flax seeds
- Designing BC-inspired collages and artwork
- Painting a custom camp t-shirt
- Building a Steller’s Jay-inspired toy
- Rock candy science experiment
- Rainbow density experiment
- Chromatography art and colour exploration
- Beach exploration and nature play at Kaslo Bay
- End-of-week celebration and picnic at Vimy Park

Discover the hidden wonders of the natural world through art, science, and outdoor adventure. From dragonflies and butterflies to frogs, insects, and magnetic mysteries, campers will investigate the fascinating creatures and natural phenomena all around them. Through hands-on crafts, creative experiments, nature journaling, and outdoor exploration, every day brings new discoveries, exciting adventures, and opportunities to create.
